Job description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Responsible for the safe transportation of patients to and from the center for appointments and/or procedures in a safe and courteous manner. Abides by safe driving practices and acts in accordance with local traffic regulations, applicable transportation regulations, speed limits, and road and weather conditions. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for the safe transportation of patients to and from our center for appointments and procedures in a safe and courteous manner. - Adheres to safe driving practices, applicable transportation regulations, obeying local traffic regulations and vehicle speeds in accordance with the posted limits, and road and weather conditions. - Maintains vehicle in a safe operating condition and reports observations and concerns using appropriate processes. - Contact patients to confirm pick up times and determines the most efficient route to pick up and drop off patients - Ability to accurately document and maintain records of patient transportation - Assists with clerical duties within the center as directed. - Other related duties as assigned.
