Job Description FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Seniors (API Kong Developer) in Jacksonville, FL to design and implement scalable API solutions using KONG Gateway. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand integration requirements. Develop custom plugins and middleware to extend KONG Gateway functionalities. Optimize API performance and security through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting. Implement API management best practices including versioning, documentation, and access control. Deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring OpenShift clusters and Kong gateways, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Administering OpenShift clusters, proficiency in Kong architecture, installation, configuration, and tuning, knowledge of Kafka internals and ecosystem tools, Linux systems and shell scripting, DevOps background, and familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization. Work with JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker/Docker Compose, functional testing, API testing, and CI/CD tools including Jenkins/Travis and GitHub Actions.
