POSITION GOAL: To provide legal services for the school district. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Deputy General Counsel shall carry out the performance responsibilities listed below. The Job Code for this position is: A-018 - Perform a wide variety of duties including provision of professional legal services for all departments, divisions and offices of the school district. - Supervise and manage assigned attorneys, including workload distribution, performance oversight, and professional development. - Ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality legal services across assigned practice areas, establishing accountability and consistency in legal support. - Coordinate with the General Counsel to ensure matters are properly routed, prioritized, and tracked. - Support the implementation of office procedures and workflow standards established by the Office of the General Counsel. - Attend School Board meetings, workshops, and executive-level meetings as assigned to support the General Counsel. - Serve as second chair to...
