Primary Scheduled Hours: Nights, 80 hours per pay period Job Summary: This position is to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors and vendors throughout the district. Officers complete security rounds throughout their shift to include interior/exterior checks and are a first responder to all incidents within the district. Security officers are to demonstrate superior customer service skills and effectively communicate between departments. Officers are subject to harsh weather conditions as officers are often patrolling the outer grounds by foot or vehicle. Essential Job Functions: - Oversight and inspection of assigned areas of Newport Hospital and Health Services (on foot or by vehicle). - Provide a visible presence through continuous roving of the facility interior/exterior areas. - Serve as a liaison and public relations representative with patients, visitors, and staff for matters related to security and public safety. - Respond to calls for assistance and assist medical personnel. - Coordination with medical professionals, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and senior management. - Provide exceptional customer service. - Inspect doors and windo...
