Position Description The Role of the Material Services Supervisor (MSS) is to develop and manage a Supply Chain Team effectively in order to deliver all work programmes to the highest standards while maximising Team Performance. The MSS has responsibility for the safe and cost-effective management of material under their control. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team in a safe and cost-effective handling and storage of material, ensuring compliance with Environmental legislation - Develop excellent relationships with the delivery organisation and positively influence the material planning process - Utilise EWM/SAP and other systems for effective material management, ensuring accurate stocking levels are maintained and stock takes / reconciliations are carried out as required - Co‑ordinate material deliveries and movements across the DSS Warehouse, Logistics Team and Depots and respond effectively to emergency material requirements (e.g., storm situations) - Co-ordinate and lead Process Changes - Schedule and allocate tasks to team members - Take responsibility for team performance by agreeing, implementing and monitoring individual and team goals - Coach and support team members to e...
