Job description

The Configuration & Data Management Manager, Engineering is responsible for the leadership and development of a team within Engineering Services to support ongoing projects under the matrix organization structure for new vessels constructed by Seaspan Shipyards, and will collaborate closely with stakeholders across VSY as well as external subcontractors to oversee and enforce robust PLM configuration management controls. Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver. What you'll do: - Develop, maintain, and enforce the Configuration Management Plan and related policies, standards, and procedures. - Oversee the release, storage, and distribution of controlled technical data (drawings, models, specifications, BoMs, documents). - Plan and conduct configuration audits (FCAs/PCAs) and support internal and external compliance audits. - Administer and maintain Configuration Management tools and integrated systems (e.g., PLM, CAD, Jira) to ensure data integrity and appropriate access control. - Drive continuous improvement of Configuration Management and Change workflows, tools, metrics, and documentation. - Support...
