Job description

Basic Function Supervises and instructs mechanics, utility workers and cleaners in the repair, cleaning, and reconditioning of buses. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with applicable rules and safety procedures. Responsibilities and Specific Duties: - Responsible for the supervision of mechanics, utility workers and cleaners and for the daily repair, cleaning, and reconditioning of buses. - Supervises and instructs mechanics, utility workers and cleaners in the repair, servicing, and reconditioning of buses in assigned area. - Provides technical assistance to personnel as necessary to assure quality and timely repairs. - Coordinates upgrades, training and training schedule with General Foreman and Superintendent. - Coordinates workflow from work area to work area. - Responsible for all personnel and general administrative matters i.e., first step grievances, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, payroll issues, etc. - Maintains records of work performed and daily overtime, and absenteeism. - Supervises maintenance and repair equipment, inspects tools and equipment for condition and proper use. - Responsible for meeting equipment service demands...
