Sierra Sunrise is an innovative, low-barrier, service enhanced emergency shelter serving Fresno County. Sierra Sunrise provides onsite mental health services, case management, peer support and housing navigation to support individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Position Summary: The Monitor is responsible for monitoring the activities of residents of the shelter and to ensure compliance with program rules and expectations. The monitor is also responsible for ensuring the safety of residents and the security and sanitation of the program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: ● Ensure a safe, secure, and efficient facility and program 24 hours a day. ● Ensures safety of residents and staff in all emergencies. ● Ensures residents’ compliance with program policies and rules. ● Engage with clients to create a welcoming environment. ● Pass out client meals and supplies. ● Prepare coffee for clients. ● Monitor grounds on an hourly basis for safety concerns. ● Conduct bag checks for all clients entering the facility in a safe manner and in accordance with program bag check policy. ● Check for contraband in fac...
