SUMMARY: BFS engineers are given the opportunity to explore and support a variety of areas in an engineering role at an aviation company. BFS Engineers need a problem solving mindset and have wide ranging responsibilities spanning from conceptualizing and substantiating repairs for components, certification activities, clean sheet tooling/equipment builds, or reviewing processing certification from repaired components. This position requires excellent communication, problem solving skills, and a strong CAD skillset. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO): documents - Assist with developing new repairs, alteration, or configuration changes across a range of aircraft systems - Assume responsibility for small to medium projects from start to finish - Ensure compliance when applicable with repair criteria or other published limitations - Inspect, support and accomplish limited repair functions under BFS’ Part 145 repair station - Developing models and 2D dimensioned prints ranging from simple to complex - Assist with mathematical analysis and computations for repair and certification projects - Review and develop documents including repair procedures, repair substan...
