Forklift Operator (Shipping/Receiving/Specials) Overview : To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc. from location to location within the manufacturing facility. Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner. Responsibilities: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Qualifications: - Reads/interprets shipping schedules, stages doors, sorts by length, width, customer, core type to create correct stacks for shipping • Stages for shipping once wrapped • Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance • Fuel forklifts as required • Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation • Pull all production wrap lines as required • Consolidate all orders for shipping • Receive items into the facility/Ships all items correct to the customer • Pay attention to detail when pulling items from Wearhouse based on work order • Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed both daily and on weekends if business need requires • Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment • Must understand all shipping documents...
