Job description

Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist B CVL (Cardiovascular Lab), practices in a large tertiary academic Children's Hospital with level one trauma designation. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or qualified CVL Radiologic Technologist, performs simple and complex diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures in for patients with cardiac dysfunction. Operates the physiologic and radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all patient care equipment is calibrated and that operational capabilities are tested consistent with departmental guidelines and regulations. Anticipates potential safety concerns in the environment of care and intervenes appropriately. Participates in educational activities, departmental committees, research projects and other health-related projects as assigned. Provides direction and guidance in the proper use, care and control of material resources; appraises quality and effectiveness of material and equipment and communicates issues to responsible individuals.
