Job Description: In order to support Database Architecture and Roadmap department, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Database Architect (d/f/m). The department is a transnational department with Database Architects on the Toulouse, Immenstaad, and Stevenage sites that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, transnational team of experts at the core of the Avionics engineering process. While the Database Architect of a given project is usually working on the project’s main site, it is also possible to contribute to projects running on other sites in other countries, either remotely from the home site, or via time-limited or indefinite move. Avionics Systems within Airbus Space Systems is responsible for architecting, developing, and validating the functional design of space vehicles. This encompasses the definition of the Operational Concept of a space vehicle, the development of the On-board Software, Attitude, and Orbit Control System, numerical and hardware-in-the-loop simulators, Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery approach, plus the validation and verification of the Avionics substem.
