Description The Department of European and Eurasian Studies at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a one year, non-renewable position as Assistant Professor of Instruction in French for the 2026-27 academic year. We are looking for an experienced educator with established competence in language pedagogy, technology-assisted instruction, and knowledge of current issues and methods in the teaching and learning of French as a second language. The position requires the teaching of elementary and intermediate French language courses, in-person, hybrid and online. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in French or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate excellence in French language teaching, research interests in innovative approaches to second language pedagogy, curriculum development, teacher education, and language technology.
