Position: Adjunct Assistant Professor, English Department: Academic Affairs: Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty: Exemption Status: Exempt: Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No: Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume. Position Summary: The English Department seeks a qualified instructor to teach multiple sections of Composition I and Composition II. Required Qualifications: - Masters’ degree with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in English. - Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college. Preferred Qualifications: To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts. *Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions. - Additional education beyond a Master's in English. - Some experience teaching writing at the college level.
