Job description

Summary of Essential Functions: - Performs general, non-technical duties under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Transports and treats assigned patients. - Maintains equipment, assists licensed therapists, performs clerical and miscellaneous duties as needed. Educational Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Licenses and Certifications: - CPR Certification. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Personality that shows care and concern for people, positive attitude, flexibility/adaptability to change, and an interest in acquiring new knowledge. - Acute/Hospital or nursing home patient care/experience preferred Physical Requirements: - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Potential for musculoskeletal injuries due to moving/lifting equipment and patients: potential for exposure to infectious process.
