Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience / Qualifications: At least 1 year experience preferred. Basic Rhythm Strip interpretation exam with a pass score of 80% or higher. American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers. Position Summary: The Monitor Technician is a member of the nursing team who interprets cardiac monitor, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Provides continuous cardiac monitoring observation and documentation of cardiac rhythm on a routine basis.
