Description Independence Plus is now hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative. This position will be based out of our Oak Brook, IL (DuPage County) office and reports to the Intake and Patient Services Manager. Full benefits available; PTO, medical, dental, vision coverage and 401(k) plan. After training, this role qualifies as a hybrid position. Job Description Summary: The Patient Services Representative is primarily responsible for providing excellent attention and coordination for Home Medical Equipment (HME) clients, payers, and referral sources. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: - Provides excellent patient services - Provides order intake via phone/fax - Verifies insurance, confirms orders, provides data entry for new patients - Completes Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN’s) - Completes prior approvals and authorizations - Contacts patients for re-orders - Completes repair orders - Maintains open communication with payers, referral sources, patients, and all administrative staff - Ensures that all files are maintained according to IPI policies and reports all discrepancies to immediate supervisor - Stays informed regarding changes in billing guideli...
