Job DetailsJob Location: Hutchinson Clinic - Hutchinson, KS 67502Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Health CareRole: Provide surgical scheduling duties in the Nursing Department Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Schedules patients for surgery, completing facility paperwork Maintains and updated surgery schedule several times a day so that facility and physicians schedules reflect an accurate schedule Obtains surgical prior authorizations after insurance company verification Completes surgeon requests in coordination with vendors and Materials Manager Communicates with patients regarding pre-operative procedure needs such as pre-operative appointments, testing, and instructions. Knowledgeable of pre-operative needs for a variety of surgical procedures Consistently performs specific assigned daily and general duties; meet deadlines Regularly attends and participates in assigned meetings Meets established attendance criteria and starts work promptly Knows and consistently implements the organizations mission and all approved policies, protocols, and procedures.
