Hardware Test Engineer Intern The Opportunity: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of hardware and cybersecurity engineers to evaluate secure systems for Department of Defense ( DoD ) clients using a structured Whitebox adversarial testing met hodology. Support testing of systems assessed against NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) and Raise the Bar ( RTB ) security control requirements, with focus areas including Low-level hardware and firm ware interactions, Mandatory Access Controls ( MAC ) and Discretionary Access Controls ( DAC ) , Data flow enforcement and filtering mechanisms, Secure boot and firm ware integrity validation, and Virtualization and hypervisor boundary protections. Assist with executing approved test cases, documenting findings, and contributing to technical reports. Gain hands-on exposure to hardware test environments, automation scripting, and secure architecture analysis while building foundational knowledge from experienced engineers.
