Job description

The Grant Accountant and Compliance Manager supports the operations of Northwest Mississippi Community College by providing support to the grant writer and project directors on grant-related financial matters. This position plays a key role in monitoring and maintaining accurate accounting for grant funds , ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. The Grant Accountant and Compliance Manager must demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting required - Experience working for a state or public education agency required - Experience in grant management, government procurement, and compliance preferred - Master’s degree preferred - CPA preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support grant writer and project directors on grant-related financial matters, including budget status, allowability of costs, compliance with grant regulations, procurement, and proper accounting and reporting procedures. - Ensure the college follows all applicable laws and regulations related to federal and state grants. - Assist with preparation a...
