Barge Superintendent

Job description

Overview Monitor the condition and maintain CLA coastal and inland barges. Provide information to Engineering team to develop & maintain capital expenditure budget for the barge fleet, oversee repair & maintenance of equipment, manage purchasing and inventory levels. Develop work scope packages and oversee dry dockings. Monitor compliance of all documentation & regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned by Management. Responsibilities: - Develop & maintain capital expenditure budget for barges. - Oversee Vessel Repair and Maintenance Program for the barge fleet. - Monitor compliance of documentation & regulatory requirements. - Oversee dry docking & maintenance projects on barges. - Vessel repair and maintenance costs versus budget. - Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications. - Perform in the company Spill Management team as assigned. - Represent the company from a customer standpoint when needed - Perform other related duties as assigned.
