The opportunity We are seeking a highly capable Senior Project Accountant – Asset Management to join our Energy & Utilities Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This role is based within a large, complex, asset-intensive environment supporting critical infrastructure across capital and operational projects. This is a key commercial finance position responsible for end-to-end financial management of our asset base, including plant, equipment and fleet. You will partner closely with Asset Management, Operations, Project Delivery, and senior leaders to ensure optimal asset utilisation, accurate cost recovery, and strong financial governance. What you’ll do: - Lead asset and fleet accounting, including charge-outs, utilisation tracking, and cost recovery models - Own month-end processes including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis - Maintain and govern Fixed Asset and Fleet Registers, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls - Deliver commercial insights to support asset investment decisions, capital planning, and performance optimisation - Partner with operational and project leaders to translate financial data into...
