About the role Morningstar DBRS is seeking a highly motivated individual, with a background in real estate finance and credit analysis, to join its European Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) team in Madrid. The successful candidate will mainly serve as lead analyst for Morningstar DBRS rated transactions or entities. They will have an advanced understanding of the European real estate sectors and to acquire a broad understanding of the appropriate Morningstar DBRS rating methodologies and criteria. Responsibilities: - Act as the lead analyst and manage the process of rating EU CMBS transactions, while maintaining compliance to the relevant rating methodology. - Train and manage junior team members through the credit rating process on a variety of CMBS transactions. - Have a solid understanding of real estate classes covered and determine Morningstar DBRS stabilized cash flows of all major property types (multifamily, hotel, office, retail, L&I, self-storage etc.) and a variety of loan sizes (EUR 1 million to > EUR 500+ million).
