As a Staff Mechanical Engineer in our Mako and Enabling Technologies (MET) Research & Development team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional experts to design, prototype, and deliver innovative robotic solutions that transform patient care. At Stryker, your expertise will directly impact the evolution of robotic-assisted surgery, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients worldwide. This is a hybrid position based in Portage, MI; candidates must live within commuting distance and be onsite 3-4 days per week. What You Will Do: Design, develop, and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision. Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions. Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance. Identify and resolve complex design issues using data-driven analysis to improve processes and outcomes. Apply clinical knowledge to author design inputs and support Voice of Customer sessions.
