Job description

The primary purpose of the Office of Academic Advocacy is to improve undergraduate student persistence/retention, progression, and completion in support of key strategic university goals and measures. This position will support the Office of Academic Advocacy in outreach to students to increase enrollment for the next term. The position will work collaboratively with Academic Advocates to assist students in resolving issues that are preventing course registration. This position reports directly to an Academic Advocate. The peer advocate supports Academic Advocates in reaching and exceeding second- year retention metrics and increasing enrollment at the University of South Florida- Tampa campus. The incumbent will address issues related to registration/academic holds and refer students to appropriate supports and university departments.
