Job description

PURPOSE: The Industrial Engineer will identify, evaluate, and implement improvements to processing, distribution, packaging material, equipment, and methods of operations by using proven Industrial Engineering techniques. This position directly impacts the following KPIs: safety, cost per unit, quality, productivity, and throughput. To be successful, the Industrial Engineer will be able to design, quantify and implement systems or processes that improve productivity, reduce waste, are cost efficient and ensure quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & WORK MEASUREMENT: - Serve as a subject matter expert in Industrial Engineering principles. - Develop and maintain Engineered labor standards for designated job functions within the distribution center. - Reduce overall operational cost by identifying opportunities to increase productivity and quality within the distribution centers. - Improve leadership’s decision-making by providing recommendations based on data (e.g., models, reporting, analytics, layouts, etc.). - Identify and quantify constraints within the distribution centers and implement process improvements and technological upgrades to alleviate those constrain...
