Overview Kimley-Horn's Fort Worth office is seeking a Environmental Planner to join our Power Delivery team! Responsibilities: - Prepare Environmental Quality Act documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations - Secures permits, ensures compliance and manages ecological risks for transmission lines and substations. - Conducts route analysis for new transmission lines and selecting sites for substations to minimize environmental impact. - Perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members. - Environmental clearance associated with local comprehensive plans/local land use planning - Develops EMPs (Environmental Management Plans) to manage land disruption, noise, erosion, and vegetation management during construction. Qualifications: - Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Environmentlal Planning (or other degree applicable to the planning field) - 10+ years of experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entities - Experience with a wide range of tasks related to environmental planning - Understanding of the agencies involved with the Environmental Quality Act process...
