Job Description The University of Richmond Police Department is currently recruiting for a full-time Police Officer (Virginia Certified Officers and Non-certified Applicants Welcome). A sworn law enforcement position to provide law enforcement and crime prevention duties to include CLERY requirements for the University of Richmond within the University of Richmond Police Department. Applicants who are currently Virginia certified through DCJS will be required to take a Physical Agility Test. You will be notified of date/time and location of the testing. Non-certified applicants will be required to take both a written and physical agility test. RESPONSIBILITIES: Patrol/Crime Prevention/Community Policing Protects community and property of the University. Patrols campus. Responds to calls of service. Provides safety and security services to the University Community. Promotes a positive community relation in the performance of job duties. Enforces University rules and regulations.
