Description: - Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications and work orders to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations. - Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. - Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, and tape measure. - Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. - Position and secure work pieces. - Use of all different types of hand tools. - Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as MIG welding, TIG welding, torch, and plasma torch. - Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders. - Weld components in flat or vertical positions. - Monday through Friday 6am-4pm. Occasionally some Saturdays. Requirements: - A High School degree or GED is required. - 1 year welding or fabricating experience is preferred. - Manufacturing experience is preferred. - Ability to left up to 50 lbs. at a time. This position involves some bending, twisting and lifting.
