Staff Accountant

Job description

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and supporting month-end close activities for multiple healthcare entities. The ideal candidate will have solid general accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and hands-on experience with Sage50 accounting software. Requirements: Key Responsibilities: - Perform daily accounting activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis. - Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts in Sage?50. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. - Prepare financial statements and internal reports for management. - Manage accounts receivable (AR) functions. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances. - Support budgeting and forecasting processes. - Assist with audits and promptly respond to auditor requests. - Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and healthcare-related financial requirements. - Collaborate with internal departments and external partners as needed to resolve issues and streamline processes.
