Parking & Transportation has an opening for a full-time, year-round Security Guard Supervisor with an anticipated start date in July. The “Parking Supervisor” coordinates department activities, patrols lots and enforces rules and regulations, and supervises one regular Parking employee and numerous student workers. Tasks are diverse, requiring general knowledge of a variety of areas, such as supervision, rule enforcement, and customer service. Full-time, regular position, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Normal daily work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position pays $20.69/hour or applicable transfer rate. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Supervises staff which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring employees are trained and that they follow policies and procedures; training new personnel and providing ongoing guidance; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and assists with hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. - Communicates with staff, students, faculty and others regarding parking & transportation issues.
