POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures that all paint work is carried out in accordance with Company procedures and policies, manufacturer’s technical data, as well as FAA regulatory guidelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides instruction and on-the-job training to assigned personnel. Performs paint tasks along with assigned personnel ; ensures the use of appropriate manual references and proper tools in performing paint duties ; monitors quality of work in progress, as well as performance to production schedule. Submits work to Quality Assurance for final inspection and re-certification of airworthiness. Assists in implementing ways to remedy behind-schedule conditions. Assists in the maintenance of records and technical data required by the FAA. Monitors departmental requirements and corresponding stores inventories to avoid shortages; assist in planning work-arounds to alleviate shortage conditions. Ensures that labor and materials used in assigned area of responsibility are charged to the correct job and work order number. Repair assignments may occasionally require heavy lifting.
