JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lab Specific Duties- Perform and troubleshoot technical duties in the Anatomic Pathology laboratory. Maintain CAP standards in all areas of work with the application of the Anatomic Pathology Quality Management Program. Perform grossing and dictation of pathology specimens in accordance with departmental procedures, and under the direction of the Director of Pathology. Ensures cleanliness and readiness of the autopsy suite, including ensuring appropriate inventory levels. Assist with autopsies under the direction of the Director of Pathology. Assist with the training of Pathology residents and fellows. Assist with intra-operative frozen sections as needed. Continuous professional development through working with Staff Pathologists in a progression of learning more complex specimen types. Store clinically important or significant frozen specimens in coordination with Biobank personnel. Communication- Effectively demonstrate communication skills related to conveying relevant information.
