Job description

The Landfill Foreman will perform functions to safely supervise, direct and coordinate performance of the employees involved with field operation. Provide leadership to other operators and promote a positive employee/employer relationship. Key Responsibilities: Personnel - Assist the Operations Supervisor/Manager with sustaining a productive and motivated workforce by screening, selecting, training, developing, and evaluating personnel required to meet service commitments. - Follow policies for inspection, maintenance and repair of vehicles/equipment. - Help ensure operators are performing task knowledgeably, productively, and safely. - Ensure that all operators complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports, daily equipment report, operational forms, and other documentation daily - Provide feedback to Operations Supervisor regarding operator’s productivity, work performance, etc. daily - Assist General Manager/Operations Manager with hiring, training and monitoring performance of personnel. - Identify, direct or perform ongoing training of personnel. - Investigate and evaluate cause and extent of damage to vehicles or property as a result of accidents. - Act as the backup...
