ABC 17 News is looking for someone who wants to help grow the station’s news product and wants to work within a research-driven newsroom while growing his/her own career. The company is looking for a weekend evening NEWS ANCHOR/MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST. We are looking for a driven, creative, and versatile journalist who can excel both behind the desk and in the field. We need an anchor who is involved in the day-to-day operations of the newsroom, including developing and turning enterprise and investigative content. We need an enterprising reporter who is comfortable using social media and digital tools to tell stories and engage with our audience, and who works well as part of a team. JOB DESCRIPTION: The duties for this position include anchoring/producing weekend nightly newscasts and reporting weekday nightly newscasts. The Anchor/MMJ will be responsible for copyediting, live reporting, web coverage, and social media posting, and may be called upon to take on additional newsroom responsibilities as news demands require.
