Description Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is looking for energetic, fun, organized, and caring staff to provide memorable experiences to girls in a safe and engaging Summer Camp environment! Lake Rickabear Day Camp sits on 332 acres of land including a beautiful 40-acre, spring-fed lake, perfect for swimming, pedal boating, paddle boarding, and row boating. The Lifeguard will provide campers with organized and educational waterfront programs in a safe manner. Programs include swimming classes, boating classes and free swim periods. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Daily Rate: $120 (new staff) - $130 per day (returning staff). This is based on a 7.5 hour work day, which translates to $16 - $17.33 per hour respectively. - Attend all sessions required of position at Pre-Camp Orientation. - Must follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations on the waterfront. - Must follow the guidelines of the American Red Cross in swimming and boating instruction procedures. - Must be always alert to the campers in the water and their needs. - Assist with the buddy system and checks. - Lead or assist in leading swimming lessons. - Lead or assist in oversight of boating acti...
