Company Description Position Overview: The Near North Montessori (NNM) school Physical Education Teacher instructs physical education (PE) classes for the school that promote sound principles of physical, social, and psychological development for students in a safe, stimulating environment consistent with the school’s mission. Job Description: Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Develop curriculum for the Physical Education program at Elementary and Junior High levels that emphasize healthy physical and mental fitness, habits and skills Teach assigned classes, groups and rotations based on approved curriculum appropriate to the level and progress of students throughout the school year Monitor student progress and keep PE/Athletics Director up to date with progress on the group and individual students throughout the school year Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, participation, and any behavioral concerns in physical education, providing timely updates and partnering to support student growth and well-being Work collaboratively with other PE/Athletics staff to develop and enforce effective PE policies, procedures and safety; communicate information t...
