Job description

Position Summary: The Acute Care Sonographer I provides ultrasound (US) health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs US procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Primarily works independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting. Minimum Qualifications: Required - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in OB/GYN or abdominal/small parts or is registry eligible and obtains certification within one year of date of hire - Graduate from an accredited ultrasound school - American Heart Association BLS within 60 days of hire Preferred: - One (1) year of post-graduation experience working in ultrasound Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements. - Perform US exams and procedures in an inpatient setting. - Assist the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. - Complete documentation, in designated area, of all informatio...
