Fiber Splicing Supervisor

Job description

Duties / Responsibilities: 1. Lead, coach, and develop fiber splicing team with a specific emphasis on safety and production. 2. Supervise the planning and execution of projects and contracts to achieve productivity and quality safely. 3. Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings and/or cut sheets to determine work to be done in sequence of task. 4. Lead and participate in job hazard analysis and safety briefings. 5. Assist with additional fiber network construction activities prior to splicing and closeout activities commence. 6. Troubleshoot and repair the distribution network from headend to terminal connection point. 7. Prep and splice fiber optic cables, locate problem areas and perform other repairs as needed. This requires proficiency with fusion splicer and fiber test equipment. 8. Install and maintain transmission and reception equipment for FTTH network. 9. Install and maintain network systems for private lines and determine solutions for any issues preventing the service from operating normally. 10.
