A Day in the Life: A Day in The Life Of: As a Workshop OpEx Technician, your day is varied and hands-on. You start by checking in with the Operational Excellence team to understand priorities for the day, such as cell builds, EHS actions, or improvement tasks. You’ll spend time on the shop floor, working with Supervisors and Operators to fix issues and improve how work is done. This could include setting up or adjusting workstations, carrying out small repairs, or making changes to improve efficiency and flow. You’ll also support 5S activities by helping team develop solutions to keep areas clean, organized, and clearly set up. Safety is a key part of the role, so you’ll help identify risks and complete actions to close EHS tickets. Some days you may work with local suppliers to get materials or arrange support for jobs.
