THE SALVATION ARMY JOB DESCRIPTION: JOB CODE: DATE: 04/21/97 INCUMBENT: REPORTS TO: Property Manager DEPARTMENT: Youth Department: LOCATION: Camp Walter Johnson: FLSA STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt: POSITION SUMMARY: Performs variety of skilled maintenance work for buildings and grounds including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as well as routine maintenance and repairs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. It is intended to identify the major responsibilities and requirements of this position. The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related responsibilities and tasks other than those stated in this position description. Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs all physical plant machinery, heating, cooling, piping, and electrical systems, and records maintenance in accordance with schedules. Troubleshoots and repairs minor mechanical malfunctions and performs preventative maintenance on vehicles, dishwashers, laundry machines, vent fans, etc.; performs minor adjustments; lubricates and cleans vehicles and/or equipment.
