Description LCSW/LCPC Required: SGA provides a wide range of social services in some of Chicagoland's most challenged and consistently underserved communities, and creates long-term and community-wide change. Description: The Mental Health Equity Initiative seeks to strengthen the mental health continuum of care by addressing gaps in services, building accessible care options in communities, and contributing to public health approaches to the intersection of violence, substance use, and mental health. This work supports city-wide violence prevention efforts to reduce exposure to violence and its mental health consequences, improve equitable access to culturally responsive mental health care that decreases disparities in violence risk across populations, and tackle structural drivers of violence, including inequality, poverty, and marginalization. Key Areas of Responsibility: - Provides short term individual and group counseling services to elementary, middle and high school students in designated Chicago Public Schools. - Utilizes the Medicaid IM+CANS as a standardized tool to evaluate the mental health, risk behaviors, trauma exposure, and functional needs of clients requiring men...
