The Director of the Law Enforcement Academy shall work under the direction of the Executive Dean of Business, Technology & Public Service, and will provide oversight of the Law Enforcement Academy to include, department budgets, course scheduling, faculty and instructor schedules, assessment, program reviews, course material adoptions, appropriate labs and equipment, marketing, assistance with community networking and trainings, curriculum development, maintaining both P.O.S.T. standards and instructor qualifications, and oversight of the supervision and training of faculty, instructors, and other department employees if necessary. The Director shall maintain commitment to quality instruction, the primary objective of the institution. This leader will demonstrate a strong commitment to the value of diversity among students and staff, as well as sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of PPSC students.
