SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing design support to the organization. This role provides support for design and implementation of new and improved product and process solutions. This position supports Motion's initiatives to improve profitability through improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Material Flow. JOB DUTIES: Designs and implements equipment and tooling for production processes that will improve operational safety, quality, and efficiency. Oversees generation and maintenance of CAD drawings for tooling and equipment design. Provides support for design and development of new belting products. Creates and implements process standards and specifications, introducing appropriate manufacturing controls where possible to provide for consistent operations to these standards. Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools to help advance operational Continuous Improvement throughout the organization. Defines best practice approaches and help establish these practices throughout Motion's fabrication facilities.
