Environmental Analyst III - Brownfields Credit Specialist 260001H1 Description Agency Overview: The Department of Revenue's core mission is to collect the revenues required to support the business of the Commonwealth, to make a difference in the lives of children by enforcing the financial responsibilities of parenthood, and to assist Massachusetts cities and towns in sound and efficient fiscal management. Division Overview: The Office of the General Counsel advises the Commissioner and others within the department on all aspects of tax and administrative law. The Office also oversees the operations of the Underground Storage Tank Program (UST). The UST Program also provides technical assistance to other DOR divisions as required. General Job Description: Examines Brownfields Tax Credit applications, returns and other filings; verifying data through communication with the assigned Tax Examiner, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP),and possibly the taxpayer or credit application preparer; gathering information from all available resources to make certain the net response and removal costs claimed by applicants are necessary to achieve the permanent solu...
