Job description
Department Overview The Facilities Technician, under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, assists employees in the Senior Facilities Technician classification and performs routine corrective and preventative maintenance work on the facilities operating equipment and systems, and performs related duties as required, within Vista Pavillion. This apprentice-level position completes work with limited supervision, with moderate problem solving required. Duties may include, but are not limited to, work on plumbing systems, doors, windows, roofs, fire equipment, replacement of belts and filters, equipment lubrication, HVAC components, and fans including related motors. Function/Duties of Position: Plumbing Maintenance: Assists in the installation of new plumbing including pipes, drains, tubs, faucets, and other plumbing fixtures and equipment. Make simple repairs on old plumbing such as renewing washers and valves and repairing sinks. Clean and open drains and toilets, and other water lines.
