Production Manager

Job description

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that the production schedule is met through the effective direction and management of labour, materials, as well as safety, production and scheduling of subcontractors and other service providers. Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 825 Admirals Road, Victoria. What you'll do: - Provides direction to a diverse, complex, and technical workforce in a union environment - Effectively and efficiently executes the production schedule on ship repair, maintenance and upgrade work - Ensures that the required safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed - Monitors the specified staffing levels during the project and recommend adjustments as necessary - Reviews project data and takes necessary actions to ensure adherence to schedule - Identifies and resolves production issues throughout the life of the project - Ensures that customer specifications, drawings, diagrams and other technical information are communicated to and understood by the workforce - Manages and directs subcontracted work - Maintains control over production costs - Ensures completion of additional work - Follo...
