Hours: (full-time, 40 hrs/wk) M-Th, 8 am – 5 pm | Fr, 8 am – 2:30 pm (regular OT expected included weekends as needed) Location: This position is located in Albany, NY – onsite work is required Status: Hourly, Non-exempt: Pay Range: $23 - $35 Compensation based on Experience The Upholsterer at Digifabshop is responsible for the manufacture, upholstery, and inventory of all cushion projects in the shop as well as custom leather and fabric upholstery work as required. Primary responsibilities include: Cuts and assembles all foam and cardboard cushion parts according to shop designs Sorts leather hides for different uses according to shop-developed standards of quality and acceptability Cuts leather hides into cushion pieces using templates and razor blades Sew pieces of fabric and leather together with industrial sewing machine Stretches and staples pieces of fabric and leather onto cushion bodies Maintains all fabrics, leather, notions and equipment in an organized manner Sprays finishes and adhesives on cushions and cushion components with HVLP spray gun Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and plans to ensure accurate execution of design...
