POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of EHS Programs & Training is a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-wide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and training initiatives at Republic Services. The incumbent drives consistency, innovation, and measurable impact across the organization by fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational excellence. The Director of EHS Programs & Training collaborates cross-functionally with operations leadership, HR, safety champions, and field staff to ensure seamless program execution. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Shape and implement EHS strategies that align with the corporate values, vision, and sustainability goals. Lead the EHS team and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Monitors and translates federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) to ensure policy compliance and develop actionable training and controls.
