MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Engineer / Estimator in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Audio Visual Engineer / Estimator must demonstrate a strong ability to analyze project specifications and accurately estimate the costs associated with AV components, labor, and materials. The Audio Visual Engineer / Estimator will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. Typical duties include: Reviewing bid documents, prints, and specifications to understand project requirements. Selecting the appropriate materials based on prints and specifications. Making basic electrical calculations for feeders, panels, transformers, and voltage drops. Writing comprehensive scopes of work for estimates. Utilizing estimating software, preferably Procore, to prepare accurate cost estimates. Preparing bills of materials (BOMs) and requesting quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
